Main Information of Pinggu County


　　Pinggu County is called Green County of Beijing, where the Xinggu Industrial Developing Area (XIDZ) is located. It is located just among three provinces or cities, on the north east of Beijing urban area, the south of Hebei province, and the south east of Tianjin City. These three provinces or cities plus Shandong province are all around Bohai Sea, and are called Economic Area around Bohai, which is the third biggest and important economic area in China. It also brings some regional advantages to Pinggu and XIDZ. In the Integrated Plan of Beijing City (2004-2020), Pinggu County was decided as an important part of Eastern Developing Area and should specially develop urban industry, manufacturing, logistics and entertainment, etc.

Introduction of XIDZ

　　XIDZ was established on August 23rd, 1993 under the approval of Beijing City. At first it was a local developing zone of Pinggu County, but after seven-year development, it turned to be a developing zone of Beijng City level on December 8th, 2000. On November 19th, 2002, it was approved by Beijing City Government to be the producing base of automotive components. The total planned area of XIDZ is 10.26 sq. km. The infrastructures such as roads, power supply, heating and other preparation work such as land leveling off has already been completed.

　　History of XIDZ
　　On October 4th, 1992, XIDZ was decided to be established after the Communist Party Committee and government of Pinggu County.
　　On November 12th, 1992, the administrative committee of XIDZ was set up after the 18th government meeting of Pinggu County.
　　On June 21st, 1993, the total layout plan of XIDZ was approved by the Capital Plan and construction Committee and Beijing Urban Plan Committee, including regional distribution, function distribution, road plan and municipality plan.
　　On August 23rd, 1993, XIDZ was approved by the 17th Beijing mayoral meeting. It would be planned wholly but built in several phases. The first part of XIDZ was 0.6 sq. km.
　　On December 8th, 2000, XIDZ was decided as a city-level economic developing zone.
　　On November 19th, 2002, XIDZ was decided as the Producing Base of Car Component. The administrative committee applied to build a Korean company base for Korean companies of car component producing. The base was planned 2 sq. km.
　　On the December 10th, 2002, the Xinggu Street Bureau was set as the representative of Pinggu County Government. The bureau and the administrative committee of XIDZ are actually the same organization with different name......
